Meeting Topic
In recent years great strides have been made in secondary and higher education to support women and minorities in various science and engineering disciplines. Despite these efforts, many women choose fields other than science and engineering as they make education and career choices. Studies have shown that getting students interested in science related fields needs to begin with elementary education. The March Meeting will focus on getting these students interested in science.
There will be a talk from the Ford Plant Manager followed by demonstrations from several groups and companies
to encourage student participation. An example of groups participating include:
SAE - A World in Motion (AWIM)
Ford
GT Motorsports
This meeting is designed for girls in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades and their parents. We encourage all SAE members to attend and interact with the students.
