Software System Safety Engineering in the Aerospace Industry
Barry Hendrix is currently a Technical Fellow in System Safety with Lockheed Martin Aeronautic Company supporting the F/A-22, C-130J, C-5 Modernization and F-35 JSF programs. He has recently trained over 80 system safety engineers in safety-critical software development and software system safety verification processes. Barry has over 30 years of diverse experience in aircraft systems engineering, integrated avionics and weapons systems verification with the United States Navy (10 years with attack aircraft squadrons aboard aircraft carriers), LTV/Vought Aircraft Company, Lockheed Engineering & Sciences Company, Texas Instruments Defense Systems and Electronics, Raytheon Missiles Company, and LM Aero-Marietta.
